Buds has the 3" and 4" model 10s again

I was wondering what if any changes any of were planning for the grips on the Model 10 (s) you bought? Since I bought the 3" SB I am thinking of just putting a Tyler T grip on it since I am not a fan of the grips currently on it. Happy to hear any and all thoughts on grip options!

If the image on Bud's site is correct, it looks like this group may be outfitted with some strange wood non- S&W grips, sans any escutcheon/medallion.
Which means I need a pair of K RB magna's. All I have are some worn old SB's.

The 3" I bought from the last batch (great gun BTW and in good shape cosmetically for the $$) came with some faux magna style grips. The picture they had for the 3" this time showed S&W magnas but I think you get what you get.

The 3" I got in the last batch now wears Eagle Secret Service grips, a great set of grips for a shorter barrel SB K-frame. Depending on condition, this new 3" will either get a round butt bench grinder conversion and refinish, or if it's nice, a Tyler t-grip and proper S&W wood. I also ordered two of the 4" RB's. The lesser wil get a set of Hogue rubber and will be a new range gun, the other is TBD.

Just ordered a 3" from Bud's. Anybody know if these are dash# Model 10s?
And if so what dash that would be?

I'm looking at the round butt 4" because I think this fixed sight revolver would fit perfectly in the Myres shoulder holster I recently acquired.
Will these shoot the +p ammo or just regular 38 special?

I also ordered a 3"er. This will be my second service revolver, first being a model 64-3 4"HB with Pittsburgh Police on the backstrap. These offers have to be, hands down, the BEST online offer EVER for revolvers. Why would anyone buy a new Rossi/Taurus/Charter Arms 38spl for same price or more when you could have a S&W? These guns, from my experience, are carried alot and shot very little..have tight lockup and other than a nick here and there and some minor bluing loss are functionally new. I'm a lucky man.:D

Making an educated guess from the pictures, I would guess a 10-6 or 10-8.

According to S&W; +P is acceptable in a steel K frame with a stamped model number.

Got a 3" yesterday but after seeing the above post had to go back and get a 64! rick

I really wanted one of the 3" square butt Model 10's, but I decided to wait until later last night and they had sold... I did check back this afternoon and found the 64's and jumped right on one. From the picture they look very nice and it seems like a lot of value and very worth adding a Model 64 into the collection.

I also have been looking for a model 10 but when I saw the 64's I could not resist. Thanks for the heads up.

I bought a 64 4" last year from buds i think they were $289.00 then great shoot-in gun, these bud guns are a great deal

I believe a new rule should be put forth in this forum that when ever Bud's has LE S&W revolver trade in's that no one should be allowed to post that information on this site! I ordered a 3" yesterday, almost ordered th RB 4" because it is cool. I stopped off at my LGS today and fondled a lovely Model 10 "5 that was selling for $499.99 that I had to tearfully put down (I guess it makes no difference that I already have a 5" 10-5). Now to top it off I see on this thread about the Model 64's!!!

This is inhumane, a S&W revolver fan such as myself can only take so much!!! Please stop, I beg all of you have mercy!!

Have a nice day

Man, I must have JUST squeaked in on the 3". Got one ordered yesterday, and got a notice it was at the shipping dept today! Glad I didnt wait!

I got an idea. Buds should just post on this site next time and give true Smith fans first crack at these superb values. I would think sellout times would come close to their current advertising scheme.

I had to get in on this too, have a 4" SB on its way. Totally missed the 64s, which is probably a good thing, I have bought waaaay to much lately.
