I just bought up a 6" 53 to replace a nice 8-3/8" that I had years ago (it's still in its 10 day CA quarantine). I still have a small supply of Hornady 40 gr .222 bullets from loading for my earlier Jet, but I wanted to pick up some additional components. I know the Hornady .222s are generally not available, and that many are loading the Sierra 40 and 45 gr. .223 Hornet bullets, but when I did an on-line search I found that Buffalo Arms is offering a 45 gr. .222 Jet bullet, and I was wondering if any one had tried them yet in a 53, and if so, what the results have been.

Best regards,

Think you'll find the answer your looking for by posting your question in the reloading forum here, they helped me out a while back. So far with the Jet been using factory, accumulating brass and have dies. Know what you mean being not sure about a brand. Plus things dry up and disappear, stocking up on "only game in town" items is almost a necessity both with PPU and Hornady where the 53 is concerned. Think it's great PPU took the initiative to make the Jet available again.
