anyone who has caught any of my recent posts, has probably seen that my buffer is beating itself to death.... my question is..... if i upgrade to like a spike st-t2 or another H2 buffer... i probably need to upgrade my spring too huh? seeing as its not keeping my current buffer from jackin the back of the stock

Depends, if you use an H2 or H3 buffer, that may be enough that you don't need a heavier spring.
Then again, you still might need a heavier spring also.
The other side is if you use too heavy a buffer/spring combo, you might get short stroking.
It's one of those situations where your particular rifle will dictate what you need to do.
I personally would try just a heavier buffer first.

Springs of lesser quality seem to wear out fast. A traditional name brand spring should work just fine for you. You can get a Spikes buffer and spring or you can get a DPMS buffer and Spring. I would probably stay with the regular strength spring but get a better buffer, a little heavier one will absorb some of the recoil without compressing the spring all the way. Anyway thats my opinion, and it has worked for me. I do keep on hand a DPMS replacement buffer spring. I havent needed it yet but when mine starts bottoming out I will replace it.

I put a Tubbs spring and a T2 into a M&P middy MOE. It was too much and the spent cases kind of fell out. I switched to a H buffer and it runs perfectly smooth now.
