Bullets, bullets, everywhere!

The wife and I went for a drive in the country and had purposed to have lunch at the the Hangout in Danville, Ohio. As usual lunch was great! So we drove across the street to a gunshop, walked in. There was a 20' long shelf of Hornady reloading bullets for rifles! It had been almost empty last time I was in there! In the small calibers they had A-Max, hollow points and Jacketed Soft points! As the size grew, the variety was smaller. The only diameters I didn't see was .366, .375, & .416 and none of the Big Game FMJ?

No this shop is the last to run out, for two reasons they are always over priced, and nobody just drives by! However, NO PRIMERS (except 209's at outlandish price per 100) and a few oddball powders.

It is just nice to see that bullets are starting to ship!

The one thing I have not experienced is a hard time getting bullets (projectiles). All throughout the the "shortage" I was able to buy bullets at basically normal prices. Let your fingers do the walking on the keyboard.

I'm sure there are some exceptions (oddball and "antique" calibers) but I even bought 38-55 & 45-70 bullets with no problems.

Agree. I haven’t had much of a problem getting bullets, even from Midway. I started out with a pretty good inventory of projectiles and been adding to that. It’s primers that is the problem. I’ve enough for a couple of years of “normal” loading, and can stretch that out if need be, but after that……?

Primers for pistol & rifle, some powders and Hornady bullets for hgn and rifle are available here now. Primer prices have come down some from what they were, as has powder.
There is a large national chain sporting goods retailer nearby, and they receive weekly Shipments of primers and Hornady bullets.
A local indoor range/store usually has a dozen different pistol/rifle powders on the shelves.
Overall much better than what it was six monthes ago.

Nice to hear that some shelves are filling........

I usually buy in bulk (500) for my revolvers & pistols but usually
just the 100 round boxs for my rifles, now that I have slowed up
and don't shoot matches and just go out for a 3-4 rifle day with a
few boxs of ammo to clean the cob webs out of the barrels.

I have to say, that my rifle stuff is just fine, for me, in these times.

Bullets, Bullets are at every Gun Store I’ve been.
Even Brass cartridges.

Primers were at several places too. Prices were
averaging $40 - $80 per 1000.

I’m glad Reloading items are showing up.

Me too;
but those "For sale prices" make me choke a little.
20 cents a bullet is still, pretty high, in my book.

Powder is sporadic and primers are basically made from "unobtanium" around here in middle Georgia. I order all my bullets on line because the supply here is poor too.

Lots of bullets around, because you can get primers to load them.... and powder is more than double the cost of a year ago...
