Butt-Burner Peppers Anyone?

I like a hot peppers as well as the next guy.......

But, I really crave hot horseradish, I mean the real deal.

About twenty years ago I was at the old 4 B's in Bozeman, MT.

Their hot h'radish slather'd on a slab of prime-rib, ah man, one bite and
it'd take yur breath away, make your nose run, eyes water
with beads of sweat cascading down yur brow.

Man, was it good !!! ;) :D

.

Besides my hot sauce, I keep Coleman's hot mustard, horseradish and wasabi at hand.

Like Robert Palmer said: "Some like it Hot!"

I finally managed to get a Carolina reaper seed to sprout. That pepper is supposed to be hotter than the Ghost or Scorpions. I grow jalapenos, serranos and habaneros as well. I dry them out, grind and blend them into what I call my "Pixie Dust". A good sniff of the jar will clear your sinuses right out. All it takes it a pinch in a sauce to add some serious heat and flavor. The Dust has ~15 different peppers blended together.

Auntie had dried a bunch of peps I'd mailed them..... run them thru the blender to make sprinkle flakes when the bomb hit....The whole inside of their small cabin in Colorado was overcome with pepper fumes....said her husband ran out the door without his lunch and she had to open all the windows and doors while spending the morning on the porch:eek:

If you have some leftover Ghosts, I'll pay shipping!

Can't count the chickens before the eggs hatch', but, .... I've got a few chocolate habanero seeds left.....wouldn't mind trading peppers and seeds around like a co-operative.... can't find the Carolina Reapers around here.

I'll swing by and get 2 or 3 more ghost plants .... we'll see what happens.

Boy! I hear ya, Dave. I grow my own horseradish here at the ol' homestead. When you first harvest the stuff in the fall or early spring, then blend it up with just a splash of vinegar...WHOOEEE! Watch out!! Talk about burnin' out your nostrils!! It'll cure any sinus trouble you've got for the next six months!...but it sure is good.

Slap some of that on some thick slices of cold roast beef tucked in the middle of a sourdough roll and you've got some good eatin'.:D Of course, it tames down a little after a few months in the fridge, but when it's right out of the garden and fresh, it's considered lethal!

I have an odd hobby of growing super hot peppers. Reapers, scorpions, habaneros all have a home in my garden. Joke is the epa will show up and declare my garden a biohazard site!
Last fall made an amazing habanero/peach sauce, it gets slathered on any meat dish, hotdogs, brats, pork/beef roasts. Yummy!
