That sounds like a valid reason to purchase an aftermarket butt stock & enhanced butt pad.

M4 stock body or MOE?
The enhanced buttpad on the fully extended CTR is the perfect length for me.
Those slip-on rubber covers for the M4 style stock body don't add much length, but I haven't seen any other options out there.

Great minds think alike. I have a MOE on my 15-22 and a CTR on my 5.56 AR. I Am soon to get two of those what are theyz, .70" enhanced pAds for the Magpul stocks ? Not at all for need of recoil reduction but for shoulder purchase really- better fit and finish and grip. Plus less recoil lol.
This adds a half inch or so, slips on easy and stays on, protects butt, and inexpensive.

I have the UTG but pad that Brett248Vista has on his and it's great. Easy on, easy off. In fact, I have the UTG carry handle to and I'm extremely satisfied with it. UTG make good quality reasonably priced stuff. I used their rail covers also.

Those pads fit all M4/AR15 standard stocks no problems.
