I think I am going to buy a performance center 10mm this weekend. I've been wanting a new 10mm for quite some time. I have a g20 but I generally dislike Glock ergonomics. I also have a rock island double stack and I do like it but it's too heavy and hard to conceal to ever carry. I don't intend to edc it but I do intend to carry it when hiking/camping or hunting as we have a major hog problem here. I really like my other 2 M&Ps so this seems like the natural choice. I know there have been reliability problems but I'm hopeful that they are a thing of the past. Call me optimistic.

I like mine. Totally your call whether to leave it stock or trick it out some. Personally I think the stock recoil spring is on the light side and the factory optic plates are inconsistent. I'm running a 24lb galloway precision recoil spring and a CH Precision optic plate w/ a Holosun 507C. For me the CH Precision optic plate was a noticeable improvement over the stock optics plate and resulted in improved grouping when working up loads. Slapped on a Floyds magwell out of curiosity and really like the feel.

I haven't had an opportunity to handle or shoot the PC M&P10mm 2.0, but I have had a standard M&P10mm 2.0 (4.6") for a couple of years. It's been totally dependable, accurate, and fun to shoot. I'm sure that the PC version has some nice additions (e.g. longer ported barrel), and the price is still quite reasonable. Like ultratec00, I changed to a C&H metal optics adapter plate and mounted a Holosun 507C. I haven't found it necessary to change any springs, as recoil is quite manageable out of the box and I haven't had any F2F issues. As you know, if you buy the pistol, you should run a few hundred rounds of various ammo thru it before you take it into the woods. I haven't seen any negative reviews lately (mostly with the 4" bbl. versions), so hopefully any glitches have been addressed by S&W.

I ordered one yesterday. Paid $601 for it. I also ordered a vortex defender compdot from scheels. The new vortex defenders seem to get great reviews so we will see. Now I just have to wait for it to come in. I plan to run 200-300 rounds through it immediately. I have a fair bit of 10mm ammo collecting dust right now.

Happy New Year! I think you made a good choice, and I don't think that you will be disappointed.
