Picked up an interesting 469. Single sided decocker, TAD serial prefix (much different from the typical A prefixes on these per the Standard Catalog 5th).

Not really sure what to make of it - everything else is correct. The slide has turned plum over time compared to my others, likely indicating higher nickel content.

Nice looking piece. On a guess, the safety/decocker and maybe the slide stop have been replaced with 3rd Gen parts. I've never had a 2nd Gen, but have read that many of those parts are interchangeable between 2nd and 3rd generation guns. Most of the time.

I think I may be missing the point of what makes this odd?

My 469 is an A-prefix, A845xxx so one of the early guns. Mine is single sided decocker which would be expected, but I'm not sure if we (collectively?) know when S&W started using the right side added paddle.

I just don't see much about your 469 that is odd or uncommon?
