If you were going to mount a red dot on your revolver to shoot steel, selecting a 7-8 MOA Dot,
Which one would you guys be partial to and why ?

Well the key word there is the dot size 7-8 moa. I use several different dots many of which you mentioned and believe me you will get a lot of different opinions on this. but, here is my steel shooting gun.

Docter still very much alive and well thru a Miami agent, you might be thinking about the Optima 2000 by Tasco out of production, although, there are some refurbished units still around..
I do believe your are correct on the 4 MOA on the Burris being the largest.

I have a Simmons Shot Dot on four of my handguns. I have been extremely happy with mine. Direct from the factory information, they are only recommended for up to and including a 44 Magnum.

They have a choice of four reticles by the flip of a switch (4 minute dot, 8 minute dot, crosshairs and diamond). They are far better than their price indicates.

Overstock.com has them for under $50.00 at last call:

They are about sold out but may have a couple left. Here's a picture of mine on one of my 625's:

Yep - Of all, I think that's "for me" one of the most important features !!!! also the advantage of a sun screen is a major PLUS..

Thanks to ALL for comments

I haven't done a 'ggogle' on a Doctor site for some time since the times I tried - none were to be had.
I'll have to search again - thanks!

I might add that of the dots you mentioned the only one that you can control the brightness on is the C-more.

Not true. The Simmons has eleven different degrees of brightness AND four different reticles.

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything - just want to set the record straight.

Howdy,
I'd say the C-More would be the fastest or easiest to shoot fast.
Hey Revolver King, NICE RIG!
Thanks
Mike
