The People's Republic of California will do everything they can to stymie the Second Amendment, legal or not. Like Washington D.C. and the State Illinois, they will be dragged kicking and screaming into compliance. It's sad that it has to go that way but it does. Parts of New England need a lot of work as well but there isn't as much coverage with them, for whatever reason.

Any state that votes NOT to reduce the state sales tax can't be depended on to do anything that makes sense.
"We" would elect a chimpanzee if it were named Kennedy.

Long ago, in a galaxy, far, far away, I lived on a planet known California.

I was young and toopid so I quit college and joined the Army. The Army must have liked me cuz they kept me for 22 years. I saw many wondrous and lovely planets.

Then they said they had no more use for me and said they would return me to the planet of California.

Having gotten an edumacation in those 22 years, I decided I really didn't want to go back to that planet.

Best decision I have ever made

I think the key to all of this never ending nonsense is Shall Issue.

Once the good people of California get used to the notion that a handgun is more than something just to tote empty in the trunk of their car on the way to the range, these laws and restrictions will be less popular. Until then, if you can't even carry a loaded handgun outside of the house, further restrictions on what you can't do in the first place doesn't get folks too riled up.

Tennessee had some very draconian gun laws prior to Shall Issue becoming law in the mid 90s. After that, there has been a long string of pro gun laws enacted.
