I was at the gun show today and came across Buttstock | CBSACP - Command Arms Accessories . I really like the cheek riser and the overall product. I'm going back tomorrow to get it. I would like to put it on the M&P10 but if it doesn't work then I will put it on my AR15. Has anyone here used a CAA stock on a M&P10? I read that a spacer is required due to the S&W proprietary parts. I looked all over the gun show but no one had the spacer. Oh well, leap of faith I guess. The price for the stock and the cheek riser was $70 so not a bad price.

I believe the diameter of the buffer tube is a standard size. I have a Magpul stock on mine that works fine and I don't think there is anything special about it. Now, the length of the tube, I do believe is proprietary. I seem to recall people having issues with swapping out buffers and installing PRS stocks.

Thanks sgtsandman. That's is what I thought but I'm still new to the M&P10. I read that I can order a spacer that takes care of the tube issue. Just wish I could find the spacer at the show. Thanks for the reply!

All stocks should fit the standard mil spec tube. Problem here is riser interference with charge handle if not fully extended.

The vendor did mention the charging handle issue. I still like being able to extend or collapse the stock, vice fixed like the Magpul. The cheek rise function is really easy. Not as easy as the Magpul but at almost $200 less, I'll give it a shot.

The RE of the M&P-10 is not proprietary. The RE is made to A5 "milspec" dimensions.

USAF93, are you having trouble getting a good cheekweld due to your sights setting too high?

I have the Nikon 308 scope on it and it sits just high enough so the frof the scope clears the rail but its up just enough so I can't lay my cheek on the stock...stock. The CAA stock went on fine but there is just a little bit og wiggle in it. Not enough to be annoying but worth mentioning. Also, the CAA stock, when fully collapsed, sits just far enough back as to not interfere with the charging handle. Add to it the ambidextrous quick release point in two positions on the stock and I'm pretty impressed.
