I just received an email saying the federal champion .22lr ammo I ordered on 8 jan shipped yesterday. I also have 5000 rounds of Eley sport from LuckyGunner in the mail. Has anyone ever used Eley sport?

I wish the email I got this morning was a shipping notice. My order of CCI tactical from 1/3 is on back order now, expected 2/28.
 
I ordered, on 12/24, 5k of Federal from Cabela's that comes in a "dry box". Since then, they have sold the same ammo in an "ammo can" and with no can and it has shipped. Mine? Mine is now delayed a second month until 2/25... even they could not explain that logic :)
 
Not used Eley Sport, specifically, but I shot a lot of Eley Match back when I was shooting competitively. Good stuff and very accurate.

The Eley name was bought out several years ago when the company went belly up. I don't know who's making it now or what the quality is.
 
They have been traded or bought thru huge comglomerates ever since post WWI...
1st. went to Nobel Industries...
2nd. ended up being owned by Imperial Chemical Corporation...
3rd. as far as I can tell under the banner of the huge Dutch conglomerate Akzo Nobel...

The federal was listed as backordered when I ordered it. I received an email last week saying it wouldn't to cabelas until mid February and and few days later I got confirmation that it shipped.

Okay. That's a pretty good turn around. I would have been surprised if it took that long for in-stock.
 
I just contacted Cabelas to check on my order placed 01/09.. My Federal Ammo is still in backorder till 2/28 :(
 
I justed checked Cabela's online and they have a grand total of 4 rimfire options available at this time. 3 of them .17 caliber and some 22lr tracers and that's it. In December when things were starting to get tight they had 3 pages of rimfire selections. Went to their store yesterday and the shelves were essentially empty as well, on 225 box of the Gator Boy CCI's and 5 boxes of Eley match...This is getting crazier by the day...
 
Ordered 7 100 pks from Cabelas on 1/28 via their website and tracking today shows it on the truck for delivery!

And I got an email this morning from Cabelas wanting to know if I wanted to continue my backordered single box Federal bulk pack which I ordered early December. Guess I am on the bottom of the food chain.

I ordered this 01/30/2013 @ $7.99/box of 100 with $5 flat shipping.

Cabelas has been on their A game when they have inventory to ship. 3rd time I've ordered something since January 1 and it shipped next day when it was in stock. These were mentioned in the "Official Ammo" post here at about 7:27 AM. I've heard that Cabelas updates their ammo inventory around 7 in the morning so you may want to cruise by their site early if you are still looking. My Advantage Arms .22LR conversion loves this stuff I'm sure the S&W will as well.

Yesterday when I checked Cabela's website there were five in total. Four were the .17 caliber and one was the 22LR tracers. As of a few seconds ago, it's worse. Now Cabela's has only three and they are all .17 caliber.
 
I have had a 1k brick of Winchester M22 on backorder for over a month. On Monday I saw that it was back in stock and selling on the forum. I looked at my account at the end of the day and it was still on backorder. I emailed and asked why Backordered weren't filled before they made new sales. Got a reply from them that said it was out of stock and due 5-25-13 and HOPEFULLY my backorder would get filled at that time. I replied back asking for a supervisor as "hopefully" their backorder system would work didn't cut it. Have heard nothing. I guess Facebook and Twitter rants are the next step. Wish they had even marginal customer service instead of what they have. Anyone else have this issue and have tips to get it resolved? Thanks
