I went to the Scarborough, Maine store today to complain about a recent transaction: the trigger lock masking a faulty pistol.

The employee took me back to the office in the gun room, they have a bullet trap rated to 50 cal. to test fire used guns. I saw it with my own eyes, actually touched it. OMG! Blew me away.

I know, no pictures, didn't happen. Feel free to check it out.

Any one else know this of other Cabela's?

Do these things muffle some of the noise as well?

I mean, I'd think folks in the store would be a bit alarmed at the sound of gunfire.

the Kearney store had one for checking customers guns when brought in for trading. they don't do that anymore.

Cabela's unless something has changed never test fired any customers guns. I mean a good customer certainly wouldn't bring in a gun that wouldn't work to trade would they or would they?
