Picked up this 57-3 last week while surfing the net.
Box with papers and two speed loaders.
Excellent set of Combats....which I will pull.
With points and discount under 9 Bens.

While there I spot a very clean PD issued model 64
Marked at $299.00...with points and discount $290 drive out.

Suffolk Co PD marked their guns like that. Basically Long Island NY Police Dept. Wish I had stumbled into that one

Ya gotta love Cabela's. It's like price roulette. Some days it's deals like that sweet 64. Some days, well.... For example, the one near my house has a 686+ 5" 3-5-7 model, used, for sale. They say it has "normal wear on a stainless steel firearm." It appears someone went after some freckling on the sideplate with steel wool. Like, aggressively. That can be dealt with easily enough. What kind of discount are they giving on it? It's priced $10 more than a new one at their store. It's the same gun. Just a stock Smith.
Glad you found a great deal!

Probably been 13-15 years since I went to Cabela's. They had used guns priced higher than new ones. Strange but true.

Oh, beautiful revolvers, by the way.

Cool Revolvers

Congratulations.

The S&W 57 41Rem Mag is a favorite. In May I
was finally able to purchase the stainless steel
S&W 657 41Rem Mag version of yours.

Police Dept. revolvers are always cool. The
357mag is one of my favorites too.

The Best to you and your Endeavors

Good scores! I used to love Cabela's. Since their merger with Bass Pro, the store up here in Berlin, MA has declined. First to go was gun layaway. Then guns not included on interest-free CC purchases. I went in a few weeks ago and the Gun Library is gone, all boarded up. The ammo is now segregated into a U-shaped corral and every bit locked behind glass. It now seems about 30% more expensive across all types. I'm done with Cabelas anymore.

Your Bass Pro experience is similar to mine. Our local Buffalo NY store operates the same. Although the gun Library is still open it has few guns. But this is a product of us living in NY and Mass. I stopped at Bass Pro near Morgantown WVa and the ammo was just on a shelf like anything else. Grab what you need and take it to the register. The way it should be.

I gave you a "Like" but wanted to give you an "Awesome " !

Two of my favorite things ... the model 57 and model 58 in 41 Magnum ...

Then to top it off my favorite 38 Special ... the model 64 ...

Awesome Score ... you hit this one outta the park !

Bullet casting and reloading for the 41 Magnum opens up a whole Universe of things that the 41 Magnum can do ... and reloading helps with 38 special shooting too .

Swamp People say ... Choot 'Em !

A 2" M64 is my daily carry, and a few versions of 4" M 64's are my favorite Shooters. You did good. The nearest Cabella's is 165 miles from here, haven't been for a couple years, need to go and spend my points.
