I'll be very interested. It should be built within the next year. About 10 minutes from my home.

To change the subject only slightly, I read this morning that Cabela's plans to build a store in Woodbury, a second-ring suburb of Saint Paul, not too far from me.

I saw the announcement on the local TV station this afternoon. I live about 45 minutes away +/- depending on the exact location. I'll probably check them out. I doubt I'll be buying very much from them as I think their guns and shooting stuff in general is too high priced. Midsouth, Midway and most most of the other mail order shooting supply houses beat their prices without even trying.

Bobby,
It is to be built on the site of the old Montgomery Wards store on the old Greenville Mall property (Woodruff Rd.). It is to be finished by Spring 2014. Can't wait to have a "Gun Library" close to me!!

Maybe they can issue us "library cards" and we can take them home for a couple week:D:D

Cool, I have never been to one...looks like a road trip in the future!

for those that don't know the area:
Greenville Mall was the site of M. wards (way back) and is off Hwy 385, close to I85. It's about center mass of Greenville County.

From my office to tne new location will be about a 10 to 15 minute drive. Traffic in that area can be a major pain in the rear. Looking foward to it.

Always hoped they'd look at NC., but now that there's a BP in Concord and another BP coming to Cary, it won't happen.
The new Gander Mtn. that just opened in Morrisville has the most stock and the highest prices of anywhere I've ever been. Won't be back.

20 min.from my daughters, traffic in that area is as bad as any where I've ever been.I live within 2hrs. of 2 in different states MT,SD and drive by and stop at the Reno store several times a year.

Once the store is open and you wander around for 3-4 hours you can travel across the street and drink some cold brews at TwinPeaks. Advertise coldest brew in town @ 29 degrees....oh yes the scenery is pretty pleasing to the eye as well:D:D

What great news...we have been celebrating at work this week. Maybe they will ship in some ammo.....plenty of parking at the old mall and lots of room for lines of customers...they should put in a Krispy Kreme for us old police near the entrance with complimentary coffee(of course)lol..

It should be a boon to any local gunshops worth their salt.

The only one I've ever been with a friend on a trip, and their "gun library" was ludicrous- take a number and wait in line?!

I have great patience, but not for that.
