Between the new Cabela's and the new Palmetto State Armory across the street and down a block or two, that area is booming with guns! Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier, that area has the worst traffic in Greenville. I only go over that way if it's the mid-morning during the week, lol.
Cabelas is also building a store soon in Fort Mill, SC. It will be built right off I-77 in the same parking lot as Carowinds Amusement Park. They are going to level the "Flea Market" shopping center and build on that site.
We are having a Cabela's open up here April 10th 2014....1100 hours (not that I'm paying that close of attention). It's all of 10 minutes from my house. I'm going ahead with the automatic payroll deduction option.
Bass Pro was supposed to be up here too. They started a year before Cabela's even broke ground, keep going back to try to add more and so far it's just a shell of a building. I heard a rumor that their foundation isn't holding the structure and it may have to be torn down again. I'm thinking they might call it a loss and pull out. By then, Cabela's will have the strong hold on the market.
Cabelas is opening a new store in Christiana Delaware this spring also.
Right now the nearest Cabelas is in Hamgerg Pa. about a hour and a half
from me. The Delaware store will be only about a 45 min. drive for me.
And Delaware is a no sales tax state. It will be visable from I-95.
I can't wait for its grand opening.
