Caliber wars (or stirring the pot ;) )

It is not your imagination.
However I happen to be a great fan of the .38's AND .380's.
Nobody wants to be shot with anything.
There really isn't that much stopping power difference between handgun calibers, especially if the attacker takes 2 or more hits in the vitals.
Doesn't matter what size they are when they hit you. They are not vitamins!
 
When I say -
'I've been shot at but mostly missed,
I've been **** on and often hit.'
The only time I've actually been hit was an Indiana (my usual language not allowed) who shot a shotgun in my direction.
I turned around when I realized he was gonna shoot and the pellets did not penetrate my heavy clothing.
 
Always tried to steer the older folks to a .38 Special in a K Frame for home defense. Most won't carry for self defense. Easier for 99% of them to handle a revolver.
