[my favorite part of the article] Animal welfare organizations for years have been pushing for more humane treatment of farm animals but the California rules could be a rare case of consumers clearly paying a price for their beliefs.

You heard about the case in which a man living in CA had an argument with his son. Cops were called. No weapons involved but the officers did notice he owned several. He was cited for misdemeanor obstruction. Piddly stuff. Before it goes to court, he moves to Ohio. He's living in Ohio, but working through the CA legal system to settle the matter. The DA in CA decides that their red flag laws demand that the man turn in his guns. One problem. The man and his guns are in another state. To CA this is no problem. They asked a judge to order that the man surrender his firearms to authorities in Ohio. They want Ohio to enforce CA law. The judge told them they were nuts, but it seemed perfectly reasonable to CA.

Maybe, just maybe, the rest of the country can get decent bacon for less than $6 or $7 per pound (or 12-oz. package that they like to sell us).

Elections have consequences. The voters in California have mandated conditions that will make it impossible for California residents to obtain certain farm products.

Let them eat cake! Or fairy dust! Or whatever nonsense west coast idiots think if fit for human consumption at the breakfast table.
