School me on wireless cameras. 5g 2.4 ghz Alexia compatible. Night vision. I want one for a closet. What is involved for a power supply? What do I need for my iPhone ? I’m clueless as to what I need.

Blink, Ring, Wyze, and probably others make wireless cameras. Depending on which one you get they can be powered by Energizer Lithium AAs, rechargeable battery packs, or plugged into AC.
The only thing you need for your phone is to download their app and (assuming you want to save clips to the cloud) select a monthly plan. You can forego the monthly plan if you do not need the ability to save clips to the cloud.
I have Blink cameras, and they work well. Their Sync Module that the cameras connect to plugs in somewhere in the house, and you can insert a memory card that will save the clips locally rather than to the cloud.
Of course there are also wireless trail cams.

In general my opinion is that Ring cameras are a bit better than Blink. I've had both systems and Ring has proven better video quality. Both company's have hard-wired or 120v units depending on if you have a 120v power source or not. personally I go with hard wired but in a coset the battery operated units should last for months. I find that the sound from the camera speaker is also better on Ring.
Ring cameras go on sale often and can be gotten for $50 or less, including the mount. In a pinch, either will get he job done.

Need more detail regarding closet. In closet? Is this a large walk-in closet? Will the camera be targeting the closet from outside the closet? Wifi availability?

Wi-Fi signals normally go right through closet doors unless they are lined with a security barrier of some sort. I have one in my closet and it works just fine. It is not located very close to the signal origin and still gets full signal. I find concrete, cinder block and hurricane glass to be the biggest hinderance for Wi-Fi signals and that is where a booster comes in handy. If memory serves, most video camera's use 2.4Gh and that is the so called "long range band" signal as opposed to the short range 5Gh signal.
A camera located in the front and rear of the home should capture intruders on the way in. Personally I'd mount the camera inside the closet in a position to capture the safe, the closet entry door and any person trying to break into it - assuming of course this is to protect a safe. Most cameras are fairly wide angle and should be capable of this. Cameras are cheap enough these days that you can buy 2 Ring cameras for under $100. I'd also recommend getting outdoor cameras as they can of course be used inside - but in a pinch can me moved outdoors if needed.

I have Blink cameras around the perimeter of my house. The cameras last 3 years on lithium AA batteries except for the doorbell. That one gets much more use as it takes time lapse, goes constant (voice and video) when someone is at the door and at certain times of day shiny cars passing reflect and set it off. Still the batteries last a year and a half. In a closet you'd be good for at least 3 years. My experience. Joe
