1955 K-22 with numbered target stocks and a target hammer. Came in the box pictured with the serial number on the back as well as extra letters for the options. Any chance it's original?

TH is target hammer, TT target trigger, what's the designation for target stocks?

thanks,

Rob

Target stocks do not fit in the 4 rivet gold or blue boxes, so the factory used an N frame 5 rivet box to ship those guns that were ordered with target stocks. Any numbers on the bottom of the box? Would likely be in white grease pencil or have white tape with the numbers written on it.

In my collection, I have the exact same gun, but no box. Lots of research on the proper box for mine leads me to believe yours is correct. Mine is # K258577, 838 numbers lower than yours. Shipped to Sports Whse. Chicago, 5-2-1956. I guess they opened the box, took the gun out, and threw the box and contents away.
It letters with the target hammer and target stocks. Like yours, they are unrelieved. BTW it has the heavy bbl., and all significant parts are numbered, except the stocks. My country for a proper box. The gun is drippy mint. Big Larry

Thanks all for confirming it's the right box.

I've had it since 2011 but was never sure about the box since it didn't look like other K-22 boxes I had seen but the idea that it had to be a bigger box to fit the gun makes sense.

The writing on the back of mine even looks like it could be by the same hand as Truckmans.

I'll be taking some more photos and post a link here when I do.

thanks,

Rob
