Costco is having these on sale soon for $700 delivered here soon . Wondering if anyone has one , and if so , what do you think of it ? I know the safe thing has been beat to death , but looking for input on this particular one . I mean , for the price and to your house , I can put up with little things . I out grew mine a while back , and considering I am mostly a pistol guy , something this size could take care of my needs for a while .
Thanks

I'll guess the consensus reply will be that it is excellent value for moderate security.
Which is what I believe.

I'll add that I have a Cannon safe with the digital lock and I have been very happy with it. Bolted to the floor and wall I have no doubt it could be easily broken into by someone who knows how, but great for the smash and grab type of thieves and to keep the grand kids safe.

$200 off of the regular price for a good size middle of the road safe. Not a bad deal at all. It'll keep the usual suspects out.

That's what I'm thinking . It's not the best or the most glamorous , but for what I need , it fits . Plus , if someone really wants in , ain't nothing going to stop them .

I actually have one of those safes. It is a decent safe and has been secure for me so far. I am not a fan of electronic locks but it works pretty well so far. I sometimes have to input the digital combo 2 or 3 times...but think that is because it is in the (mostly) unheated garage. I don't turn the floor heat on till it gets winter cold meaning under 20 degrees in the daytime.. You can use more shelves easily for the handgun collection. To be honest with the right tools it is easy to get in almost any gun safe. Air chisel works fast

Pop had a pretty good rule of thumb for the minimum specifications for a safe. He described a minimum safe as one that a thief couldn't open with the tools he could carry on him. Back in the day when all I had were locking cabinets it still beat the daylights out of a thief being able to reach under the bed and come out with an armload of guns.

Skeet , I don't think I have to worry about weather like that down here . Although I might have to air condition the garage if I can't get it in the house . Thanks for the input guys .

Generally speaking, when it comes to gun safes, you get what you pay for.
The good stuff isn't cheap.

Personally, if it doesn't have a mechanical (dial) lock, I wouldn't buy it.

Sturdy makes a very good safe and is cost-effective due to no middle-man markup. I would suggest spending some time on their web site and watching some of the videos they have posted.

Gun safes are big and heavy, not easy to change once you own it. Buy a good one.
