Guys, I need your help. I have this thing in my head and would like to get it done somehow. I'm looking for either a cannon or anti-aircraft gun (full scale) for outdoor display. It can be a non-firing replica, used and abused, I don't care that much. But as of right now I can't find what I'm looking for.

Perhaps some of you have a good address that I could check out?

I appreciate any help!

Military vehicle collectors would have sources maybe that could help. I googled a bunch just now.

Taken at the McClain Military Museum, Anderson, IN.

Try some militaria sites--some sell cannon, AA guns, mortars etc, I cant think of the proper sites ive seen them on or id tell ya.

Red Jacket Firearms had one of those about a year ago. Dont know if it was for sale or not?

I had a line on a mortar when I got back from a deployment flush with cash one time..... I wisely decided that rounds would be much more prohibitive than the setup.... but man.... what fun would that be at the range!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!!

A lot of guys reload bluebird training rounds, but half the fun is seeing stuff go boom....

Good luck with your search!!! I am sure there is a nice demilled piece out there with your name on it!!!

If your looking for one for a American Legion or VFW building, you can get one from the government.
If it's for yourself, good luck.

How about

Now mounted on a United States Navy trailer with great tires and ready to move!
This Bofors mount was placed on a second ship after the attack at Pearl Harbor and then saw heavy action in the Philippines. Then later the Navy mounted the gun on the existing naval trailer for Hawaii anti aircraft shore battery protection. Price: $25,950 US$ - Located in Pa, USA. Contact us for full listing.

World War Two Cannons and related items for sale.

I'm holding out for a German 88mm Flak if only I could afford one.

I know where there is an 88 for sale--in Germany of course. The Uboat Archiv has one, and last I heard--was for sale. Its NOT an Army, W-SS, Kusten Artillerie or Luftwaffe Flak 88, its off of a uboat that was later scrapped..

Now, that's what I really want for my front yard a twin 40 M/M Bofors antiaircraft gun. That would put any garden gnome out of business in a hot second.

My God would one of those give a case of the vapors to my Oh-so P/C neighbor and her appearance challenged daughter?

If its a civil war era cannon your looking for try greybeardoutdoors.com in the black powder cannon and mortar forum. Dixie guns sells blackpowder cannons. And check the list of sponsors on the greybeard site.Frank

Thank you all so far for your participation. I have an eye on a anti tank gun. It's a replica and shoots blanks but the price tag is a bit too high. I would be fully satisfied with a non-firing cannon, but it needs to be full scale and on a field carriage. Civil war era would be the icing on the cake.

I've offered to help with the neighborhood pigeon problem by putting a working ZSU-23 in the front yard. Oddly, no response yet from the HOA.

I want an M50 Ontos for my yard.

Nothing says, "You kids; keep off my lawn!" quite like six recoilless 106's on an SUV-sized tracked pillbox.

Might make the other commuters a bit more congenial, as well.
