A spoiler or two--but not bigguns.
Sorry I cant find the thread but--I just saw the movie yesterday. I went into it with a pretty good feeling that it was well worth it,and it really was. I liked the "look" for the uniforms,medals and such--from a collector (of German stuff)it was. \
I liked the little unthought of "isms" too-like the "latrine"in the tank--kinda thing down to the sadness and other horrors of war-like the Aid Station they found--having no survivors as well as the Captain wearing a captured Gebirgsjager officers coat etx.
Im not a big Pitt fan but--he did a fantastic job of this one so I might start liking him more. Jon Berenthal (Shane from: The Walking Dead) did fine too.He almost made me want to beat his teeth down his throat at times but--he did well.
I saw that nobody mentioned that one of Clint Eastwoods sons was in this movie (Scott Eastwood) and I missed seeing or noticing it was him so will HAVE to buy the DvD JUST to look for him.
The Tiger vs Shermans was classic and almost like something taken from Otto Carius's book: Tigers in the Mud, and other notable books written by WWII German vets.
If anyone is on the fence about tis movie? fear not--IT IS WELL WORTH IT. That says a lot coming from me because--for those who kinda know me--they know I detest most new made movies with very few exceptions. This one is an exception.
