Major Kudos to the snipers that made the three shots from one moving vessel to a smaller, moving vessel, out in the rolling ocean, probably with wind. Definatly unfavorable conditions.

According to Fox News the lifeboat was being towed 30 yards behind the Navy ship(calm center wake and no wind conditions). The 3 pirates made themselves visible, two through hatches and one in a window, so they had three head shots at the same time and took them. Not difficult shooting for guys of this caliber but great effort none the less. GO NAVY!

Now it seems the hand wringers are upset that by shooting these pieces of sub-human detritus they may "usher in a completely worse situation by the pirates" . In other words, 'just give them what they want and maybe they'll like us and no one will get hurt'.

These murdering scum ( equivalent of street gangs on the water) are now threatening the sovereign United States and other countries with "revenge". We know where they are for the most part. IIRC there was pressure from both sides of the aisle. However, it was Clinton who announced a unilateral six month withdrawal timeline.

Not factually correct. The troops on the ground asked for US armored forces for support and were turned down by the Clinton administration. The Pakistanis(?) were supposed to provide support for the "Blackhawk Down" operation and failed to. A lot of good men died because of the collossal ineptitude of the Clinton administration.

Close, you’ve almost got it.

After pressure months earlier to withdraw greater troop numbers, and then just prior to "The Blackawk Down" incident, Clinton denied the request of ground commanders for heavier armed troops. Clinton was under pressure from Republicans to limit, or end the operation all together prior to Blackhawk down, from Republicans. I know, hard to believe either Republicans or Democrats making political hey out of such events huh?

Neither party is above such tactics, I’m just saying call a spade a spade. This idea that either side is all good or all bad defies common sense and lacks any credibility.

Ya know......this may sound harsh but I (and many others I would wager) realy don't give a tub of camel vomit what the pirates or other hostages countries think about our actions. If the pirates decide to kill hostages in retaliation for our actions-let those hostages home countries do something about it-I'm tired of putting everyone first excepy US just because we are afraid of p!ssing someone off.
