Any suggestions for a permanently mounted holster for my truck? I'm tired of getting jabbed in the side by my M&P 9 while driving down the road. Plus, it seems that some sort of stiff leather or kydex holster, screwed/mounted to the dash or console would be easier to access in an emergency situation (especially for a fat old guy like me).

There are some disadvantages of having your gun off your body in a vehicle in case of an accident. That said, I can understand the discomfort you are going through. The answer could be something as simple as a Remora between the seats.
