I made the mistake of not buying carbide dies for loading 32 Long. Can I get away with just buying the carbide sizing die and use the steel expander and seating/crimping die without lube? Or should I just buy the full carbide set?

Not sure if I understand the question but I’m gonna try to answer, the only time you need sizing lube is when you size, don’t need it for belling case or crimping

WARNING: 32 S&W long sizing dies have inside diameters that are all over the map! This is because chambers and bores vary to the extreme. Bores can run anywhere between .308" to .314". Chambers vary accordingly.
For a cartridge of such small caliber and case capacity, this is a huge problem.
Make sure you measure your bore/groove diameter and chamber throats (assuming you're reloading for a revolver and not a match pistol like the Walther GSP-C). A chamber cast would be a good idea, too!

There's a very good chance that once you get a carbide die, it will still need to be diamond lapped to get it tuned right for your firearm.

PS: I'm sure Redding, Lee, and RCBS sell these dies separately. But, it may be a special order.

Best wishes for your success!!

The only difference between a carbide die set and a standard one is the carbide sizer die. Yes you can buy just the sizer and add it to your existing die set. A .32 ACP, .32 H&R Magnum or .327 Federal die are also acceptable as they all use the same carbide ring in the sizer. Just buy whichever of the above sizer dies your LGS might have as a spare, or most on-line reloading retailers will list carbide sizer dies separately since this is so common.
