EDC carry since 1974 has been cross-draw @ 10:00 OWB/IWB. Ready to try something new (like I need another holster). My hunting handguns have always been carried strong side 3:00 with no cant. I'm thinking something rakish, sexy for my Shield like 4:00 high ride OWB with a FBI cant. Does anyone carry this way? Any drawbacks? Also what non custom holsters do you recommend? I have a Galco paddle for a Kimber that is far from concealable. I never use it......

I carry that exact same way. 4:00 canted forward. Its VERY comfortable. So much so that I sometimes lay on the couch, and roll over and say "ow whats that! oh yeah its my gun". Yep youll forget its there. Very stable, not much wiggle in the barrel. Good way to go :D

I don't know how "sexy" it is but I've been using this Blackhawk leather holster for my 9C, very happy with it, don't know if they offer it for the Shield. I wear a Beltman belt & use a DeSantis FTU mag carrier.

I just tried my IWB Mccabe Gunleather with metal belt clip at 4:00 and it felt good. Drew the gun and it came out with the holster! Thats not going to work for sure!
