Between off duty as a LEO and 35 years since then, I have carried a concealed firearm almost every day for more than 45 years.
I had some squabbles while on duty as a uniformed officer. No one but my wife and a select few trusted friends has ever had an inkling that I carry a gun all day every day.
Fortunately I have never had an instance where I felt the need to draw a firearm since I left LE.
Carrying a concealed weapon usually develops a state of mind, which if paid attention to, will keep you out of situations that require a gun.
