So I took my brand new M&P 15-22 to the range for the very first time over the weekend. Broke out my rifle case, used many times to transport my Uzi to the range.

Whoops. The case is too short by several inches. Plus the pockets used to store the straight magazines of the Uzi of course don't work too well with the long curved mags of the 15-22.

What gun cases (bags) have you used for your M&P 15-22? And based on your experience, which one(s) do you recommend?

Thanks.

I just use a cheap plastic plano case i bought from dunhams for 24 bucks. Its a tight fit but it fits and thats with my reflex sight and front grip mounted. For my gsg mp5 i use an allen tactical softvcase that has five mag pouches that are wide enough to adapt to the curve of the mp mags. I think those ran me like 25 bucks.

Just search "gun case" (include the quotations) and a lot of topics will show up. The gun case I have sucks so you don't want advice from me haha

If you just use it to goto the range and home you dont need anything fancy. Personally i cant justify spending 160 dollars on a case. But dicks sporting goods has a delecent double rifle hard case for 60 that wouldnt be bad

I went with a 36 inch Plano all weather Gun Guard hard case with pluck foam.

I have a Condor 42" single rifle case I got for Christmas. I works good for me, my rifle fits good with a scope and bipod attached, plus the middle compartment is perfect size for my Tec9. If you have the 16" barrel you should be good with a 36" case, I had to get 42" cause 18" barrel + muzzle brake was too snug.
This is the one I have

My handy patch sewing job!

I have an Uncle Mike's case. Got the 42 incher I think because of NewYorkistans law on fixed stocks.
It's a great case. Well made and only $35 at my local Herb Philipsons.

I usually like going incognito so I picked out a small range bag and break down my rifle before transport. I do own one of the bigger bags that include a shooters mat that's pretty nice. It's just real bulky maneuvering through hallways when loaded.

I also went with this style bag(s). 42" for my 20" RR and the 36's work great for the AR's and 15-22's. I have 4 all together. Great padding and tons of room for other gear & mags.

I use the Midway case. I think it is on sale right now. Whether it is in stock is another thing. It is a nice case and I have 3 of them. One for each family member.

My son got this one for his AR, and recommended it to me. I just picked mine up on Saturday. I prefer the discreet carry idea, plus I really like the back pack straps on one side. It leaves your hands free to carry other items. Each of the 2 pouches on the front hold 3 magazines, and still leaves room for other goodies.

I have one from midway. It was pretty cheap has pockets for mags and the 15-22 fit perfect

Thanks I'll check these recommendations out.

And yes I did search, but for case, and did not include the quotes around "gun case". The search I did returned so many results that even after searching the first bulk of the threads, I had not found what I needed.

Thanks again.

I have a discreet case that requires breaking down the gun also. In this new age I don't need someone freaking out because I am caring a gun bag and calling the cops.
