All my cast bullet orders showed up today. I have plenty of primers, plenty of bullets, plenty of empty brass but no gun powder.

There is powder out there but you may have to use something that you have never used before. I am having to use new powders and bullets. Had my best luck finding things locally as the big online guys are wiped out.

I have what would be in "normal" times adequate supplies. 2000+ more cast bullets en-route.

Right now I have much pistol/shotgun powders...much. As for rifle...I am getting a bit low. I did recently buy a pound of CFE 223 but I am bringing a lot of old numbers out of retirement for the 223. Reloader 10,11 H 322... I did find a couple pounds of H335 and I do have a bit of H4895 and a couple cans of 748....even some 4198. Maybe enough collectively to load half the brass I have in 223. Probably be running short of bullets by then anyway
I have everything I need; ammo, reloading components etc etc Problem is, we're OLD and the wife has pre-existing conditions so.... I haven't been out and about since last March. Not a single shot has been fired. But when I consider everything, I've been through MUCH WORSE....

Thanks for the nudge; I reckon I will try to cast another batch of .430" 240 grain SWC's this morning.
Grafs has some powders in stock including 8 pounders of Bullseye for $169.95. This is a very useful powder for virtually all non-magnum handgun loads, especially in a pinch (which we are in right now). You could load 20,000 .38 Special wadcutters or 11,200 .45 ACP hardball rounds with 8 pounds of Bullseye!
I just ordered a 4 pounder of Vihta Vuori N340 for $129.95, which is an excellent all-around handgun powder. They still have it in stock. VV powders are more expensive than most, but worth it to me.
Hazmat was $12.50. Shipping was free (normally $9.95) because I had reviewed products from a prior order.

For me powder has always been hard for me to get. First it was H4831, switched to IMR 4831 because Hodgdon wasn't available. Then Clays for shotgun and .45, couldn't get it, used Green Dot for shotgun and WST for 45 and .38. Still use WST and Green Dot. Recently found 8# of 231 for all 3 pistols. Luckily 9mm, .38 and 45 aren't real fussy, nearly any fast to medium powder gives good results.

I have lots of bullets and can cast more. Have about a half ton of scrap lead on hand. Have most of my favorite pistol powders in adequate supply with an 8# jug of AA-5 as backup, could be used for any handgun I shoot. Lots of brass. Primers are the crucial matter. I'm good for now, but I'm concerned about future regulations as well as supply driving prices way up. We shall see.

I bought 2 pounds of 231 from Midway yesterday. I think the also had CFE223 in stock. Midway has free shipping with their code and on 2 pounds the hazmat fee was only $11. This gives me 6+ pounds of 231 and should hold me for a while in 45acp.
I also use Bullseye, CFE Pistol, HS-6, H110 and occasionally Unique. I wouldn’t mind picking up another pound or two of CFE pistol but haven’t found any In a while. I’m good though if I find come across any.

Bullseye or Unique would more than get you by for pretty much any handgun need. Been my two got to's for years.

Where did you find cast bullets? Everywhere I look they're sold out.
Try Brazos Bullets or Acme. They both had .38's a couple of days ago. 9mm is harder to find.
Look at ammoseek.com and search under "Reloading". I looked up a popular caliber and they showed a number of sources. Not astronomically priced, either.

Missouri Bullets is behind on orders, but they WILL get them to you. I went ahead and ordered mine a long time ago and it took six weeks but I didn't wait until I was out.
Order them now.
I've got plenty of powder from the last shortage. Enough to last a long time. I have small pistol primers. But I just got into small rifle and didn't have a big stock of those. So that's my hold up. I've got plenty of other stuff to keep my busy, though.

Occasionally I look at vendors websites just to see what cast bullets are selling for these days. I'm amazed at the months long delays some (many) of them seem to have.
There are one or two vendors over on the cast boolit forum posting regularly with product ready to ship. 40, 45, 9mm, you name it. I'm quite sure if people weren't getting their product, they'd be slamming them all over that forum. Might be worth a look if someone needs bullets.
