Bought a pair of K frame diamond target grips from Bucky (item #4 in his forum ad dated 08-30-2010) which he described "in good shape". His photos showed no damage or modifications. Upon receipt it was apparent that someone had used a file or rasp to remove wood from the front of the grips and had poorly refinished the modified/damaged area. I notified Bucky that the grips were not as described and I would either return them for a full refund or keep them as "shooters" with a refund of $45. I had paid Bucky $92 for the grips.

His response was:

"I won't give a full refund but will offer a partial refund. I don't believe the grip was modified or refinished in anyway. I described it to the best of my ability. It wasn't 100% perfect but was in good condition.

I will give a partial refund if you can prove that they were. Post good pictures in a thread asking what people think of the grip IE modified or refinished written in an unbiased way (IE make no reference of me and how you got it 100% unbiased). If prominent and knowledgeable S&W members agree that the grip was modified or refinished ill refund you 45$. Let me know what you want to do."

I took the attached photo clearly showing the damaged area and emailed it to Bucky. After receiving no response from him I filed a PayPal dispute and PayPal refused to be involved in a "not as described" merchandise claim since I did receive a pair of grips in the mail.

I've enjoyed many smooth transactions on this wonderful forum as a buyer and seller. This is my only bad experience, but Bucky gets an "F" for this one. I won't be doing any additional business with him. Think I will check the feedback area in the future before doing business with an unknown member. Bucky has no previous feedback that I can find. Too bad this is his first.
