Was at the LGS yesterday and came across this ammo that has Plinksters name on it. 1640 FPS ! Bought a box of 100, $14.99, and will give them a try. Watched Plinksters video on YouTube and the difference over SV is very pronounced. Might make the 43C a more formidable CC piece. Any one else tried it ?

Yes. It is good ammunition, especially in Semi-Autos. As precision goes its not the best, its not in the same league as your match .22 offerings. It may not chamber in every firearm due to the slightly longer case. It is high quality though and very reliable.

Lent a buddy my 10/22 with a Volquartsen tensioned carbon fiber barrel to get rid of a couple of muscrats that were undermining his pond bank. He bought a box of stingers and complained what a piece of **** my gun was. Stingers and match chambers don't get along. The CCI HV HPs I gave him with the gun, and did the job just fine

Pretend to imitate a thick east Texas to east Kentucky accent.
Say "Stinger". Sounds just like stanger.....hence the name.
I grew up in Oklahoma an talk funny so I ain't pokin fun at no one.

These are stings and very fast but Velocitors seem to work better.

The Stinger is not new, they been out over 30yrs. As for accuracy it depends on the individual gun they aren’t magic. They do crank the killing power of 22lr a bit. Back when every company had their Hyper 22lrs out Stinger wasnt the hottest. The Winchester Accelerator was top of the heap.
Rem had the Yellow Jacket and Federal the SpitFire. At this time the Plinkster was still in short pants.

* note, you shouldn’t fire stingers in a lot of older 22s. Particularly because they weren’t engineered to take the pressure and on semi autos the recoil stroke. You can go metal to metal at minimum and maybe worse. Old single shots of Favorite type with worn extractors can cause rim blow outs.

Great accuracy from Stingers ? I eagerly tried them when they were introduced in 1977, they blew the bejeezus out of a rabbit, but accurate they weren't. They were the worst accuracy of every type of .22 ammo I shot then.
I admit I haven't tried any since maybe 1982, perhaps they've improved them since.

I did get great accuracy out of those Remington Yellow Jackets, and they were pretty explosive too. I shot around 5 bricks at Montana ground squirrels over a couple summers, then couldn't seem to find more to replace them.

I shoot a lot of Stingers from my 15-22 and the accuracy is OK to shoot cans or clay targets thrown up on the berm.

But the CCI Velocitor is the butt kicker IMO, almost as fast with a 40 grain HP instead of a 32 grain HP. It's also more accurate, at least in my gun.

From one Okie to another that has the southern twang;
Stingers = Stangers
Summers = a place; i.e., I left ma hat here summers
Fangers = a part of the hand. I.e. I have five fangers on my left hand but only four fangers on ma right after I blowed it off.
