Time for a poll.

What is your CCW handgun? Do you compete with it?
Factory loads, or homemade?

Time for a poll.

What is your CCW handgun?

For just general go out and staying in a reasonably safe area, a Ruger LCR .38 pocket carried.

For going into the cites or areas with the potential for things to be much more "interesting" I carry a XDs .45 IWBH with spare magazines!

NY has a rule of no more than 10 shot magazines!

I do not limit myself to a single firearm to be carried for personal defense.

What I am doing that day and how I am dressed alters what I carry.

75%+ of the time I carry a Smith and Wesson J-frame. It might be steel, aluminium alloy or Scandium allow depending on my clothing. It would most likely be chambered in 356TSW or 357 Magnum

Other times I carry a larger semi auto. It could be a 10MM, 357SIG or a 45ACP

Depends but it could be either of these in order of most carried
Ruger LC9 with Crimson Trace
S&W PC Shield in 9mm
S&W M&P 40c
Charter Arms Mag Pug

Pocket around town 642, out on the open space to the east 640-1, to the west 60-15.

Depends on where I'm going.

Occasionally a 3914 or 6906.

SD9VE It has an apex spring kit, extended take-down, and Williams FO sights. It use to have Truglo sights but they shot low.

Glock 23. Otherwise my BUG; S&W 638 (2.5"bbl) or the 60 with magnums. I have to follow those annoying guidelines called 'Dept. Policy'. :(

CCW HANDGUN

Everyday now is a S&W 640 pro series, outside & inside the waistband. Going to the Indy 1500 gun show on Nov. 3rd to pick up my Stoner Stormer vertical shoulder holster so I can start carrying my Colt Govt. model when I want a change. Factory ammo in both. Competition: not now but maybe in the future.

Summer: Kimber K6 or S&W 640, depending on whether it's OWB or IWB
Winter: Sig Ultra Compact 1911 or Sig C3 1911
Pocket: Sig P938
For open carry, like hiking: S&W 325

When I am out of state and able to exercise my permit, I currently have a 36-6, 439, and a Government Model 45 in my rotation. The rotation will be changing to a Mauser HSc, a 686+ 3" and or a Commander in either 9mm or 45ACP, depending on the circumstances.

what I am doing and where dictates what gun I will be carrying. Most days it is a Springfield XDS in .45 ACP in a OSWB holster. Spare mag and a model 60 on my ankle with an extra speedloader. A Glock 23 also sees some carry time as well. I am fond of revolvers and I manage to get my model 19 Combat Magnum 21/2 inch, and my model 24 factory 3 inch in the rotation. Lastly I am a big fan of my model 325 Night Guard in .45 ACP , the larger frame revolvers mostly get carried in a shoulder rig when weather is cooler. There are times when I carry a 9mm also. I only own two a Smith model 39 and a Browning T-Series. Both are also carried in custom shoulder holsters.

Kimber Solo Carry 9. Usually in an ankle holster. If off the clock, could be an OWB on right hip. If I don't sell this NIB G26 soon, I might start with it. Weather clothing permitting.

My normal concealed carry handgun in the winter is either my 2.5" Model 66 or my 2.5" Model 686+.

Warmer weather has me wearing a smaller, lighter handgun - a S&W 6906 or more recently a CZ 2075.

I also carry a Kimber Micro in a pocket holster as a back up.

M642-1 ===> 50% IWB
M640-1 ===> 20% OWB
M60-9 ====> 20% OWB
M66-1 2.5" ===> 10% OWB

PEN

currently carry a 442 38+p phasing out my shield and other polymer guns in favor of revolvers, regression? maybe i think its more evolving
