CDNN 4566

Whoa!
Who said these were converted to DAO? I thought the only thing different about these pistols were the bobbed hammers?
Did CDNN say that? JRC, you need to step in here and clear this up. Is your CDNN purchased 4566 DAO?
If so I'd say a 4586 would be a better deal, with a nicer trigger to boot.

My pistol is a 4566 with a bobbed hammer. It is DA/SA with a decock lever. I have not had a chance to fire it yet but, I did check the trigger pull with my Lyman electronic scale. The DA is about 10.5# and is very smooth. The SA is around 6.5#.
The SA initially made a clicking sound during take-up but, I found a thread on this site that explained how to fix it. After field stripping the gun, there is a copper colored spring that needed to be pushed forward about .020. I just used my finger to have a better feel pushing it and the noise is gone. I think the trigger pull will be excellent when I get a chance to shoot it.
I believe Numrich carries spurred hammers for around $50 shipped. Then whatever it will cost to have one installed is additional. It seems like an expensive fix to a non-existent problem.

I did call CDNN and talked to the salesman and he said they
were all DAO only but he could be mistaken. As of wednesday
last week there were still eleven in inventory.

Better deal with 4586 ? Who has those for sale ?
