I registered a couple of years ago, but really haven't done much but research items from time to time. Decided it was time to actually post a little bit and learn a lot more! Figured I should make it official with a newbie hello.

I appreciate the wealth of wisdom on this board and I always seem to have more questions than answers. I tinker, I shoot, and I teach a little bit now and then. Raised four kids to be safe, be smart, and be aware. Now it is time to do the same with the grandbabies.

40 days from retiring. Can finally feed my gun habit during daylight hours!

I grew up in NE Texas. After graduating I moved to KS. Been here ever since. I really miss TX, I am retired now, not up to a major move. I worked 30 years as a peace officer. I live in the country and love it. I hear TX has grown so much, so welcome from the eastern part of Kansas. We currently have great carry laws here.
I hate the weather, but otherwise there are a lot worse places to live.
