So .... has there been a "definitive" report out yet on just exactly what firearms were used in this tragedy?? Just saying since the media seems full focused on the AR. I saw reports that said the AR was used, but then reports that said the AR was in the car, and then a report and video showing the police pulling some other type of rifle from the car...... The facts on this mess are about as clear as Bengazhi..

This may not be definitive, but from the news reports and police interviews I have seen it appears that the Bushmaster AR15 type rifle was used to gain entry to the locked school (he shot out the glass) and was then also used to kill everyone at the school. I saw one medical official interview and he said that all 7 of the children that he personally examined had multiple wounds from a "long gun" and that each child had from 3 to 11 bullet wounds. The only shot from a handgun was the suicide shot.

There was another long gun in the car in the parking lot, but it was not used.

Hope this helps.

Steve

I don't see them banning 5.56 ammo for the simple fact if they did. The military would have to sit on there surplus ammo. Instead of making some cash off it.

Also have they ever banned a caliber of ammo? I am just curious I am going to assume no since the 50cal bmg is legal.
