CFE-223?

Is anyone using CFE-223 for loads for the 308. I like the idea of the reduced copper fouling but have not found many shooters using it yet.

Not 308, but I did work up some 22-250 loads. the stated load of 39 grains turned out to be pretty hot, > 3900 fps with a 55 gr Nosler. I've toned it down to 37 grains which is supposed to be around 3600 fps, which would match up to my Varget load. Haven't shot it yet.

I have loaded some 223 with it, but that was this past weekend.
Have not been out to shoot it yet. I liked the way it meters . Hope it shoots good too. Picked up two pounds , so I better like it.

I'm using it in .223 and seeing an accuracy increase over some of my current loads. I haven't cleaned the AR yet, so I can't comment on the ease of cleaning.

I have used it for my 223 AR for a year. It meters great and the barrel looks 100% better for copper fouling. I have loaded some for my 308 AR but have not shot enough to tell yet. But if it does that well for a 223 at the higher speeds, then the 308 will be better.

Good to hear about the accuracy. From all I have read the CFE works as advertised. Good to hear because I found 2 lbs last month. I have been using Win 748 which burns pretty clean but the accuracy is only average.

Works good in my 223, 25-35, and 30-30. Velocity beats H335 and W748 by far, and I have noticed less copper fouling. It's not a miracle powder as touted by some gun writers, but it is a very clean ball powder.
