I finally got a hold of some pin gauges to measure the chamber throats on some of my 357s and found that Pro Series 686SSR and PC M27 have 0.357" throats, while standard production 686 and 327 have 0.358" throats. Is this a coincidence or are PC/Pro Series revolvers generally cut to 0.357"? A good reason for one versus the other?
