Change 617 front sight ?

While I like fiber optic sights on some of my handguns, I don't really want to change them on my 617 revolvers. I tried some paint, but I must have gotten the wrong kind. It rubbed right off…..what is a good paint that will stay on ? I'm thinking a reddish orange would be good. Is there a blade with white outline that will fit the factory rear sight ? I find if I pick someones brain that knows, then I won't have to learn by mistake. I would rather spend time shooting than researching. At age 70, I must prioritize carefully, as Dr. visits burn up too much time for me and the little tyrant…..I mean angel I'm married to. Lol!

I use Chevrolet orange engine paint when I have one to paint.

i bought acrylic paint in the crafts section. tried several, settled up with a lime green. the easiest to see for me and durable. if fact was a bit of a hassle to get colors off to try another. krs
