Bodyguard 2.0 sight change....

The role of the BG 2.0 is a defensive pistol. Not a target or range toy. God forbid I have to draw it to save my bacon, I doubt I will be concerned with obtaining a sight picture that will achieve equal amounts of light on both sides of the front sight. With the wide notch rear, bringing that front sight on target as fast as I can at 5'-21' feet will give me the confidence I will get a hit. I do wish the orange was the front was brighter.

My reason for wanting a different rear sight is not to get a narrower U-notch, but to get a rear sight that has the 2 white dots.

I absolutely 100% cannot see the rear sights...or rather pick up the left and right sides of the rear sight.

Maybe the lighting at my range is too dim or something...but all I can see is the front orange dot and I have absolutely no idea where Inhave it aligned in between the 2 sides of the rear sight.

I have this problem too. I've gotten so used to using a red dot on my other pistols that it came as a surprise to me when I took my new Body Guard 2.0 to the range and realized that I struggle with iron sights now due to reaching the age where I need reading glasses. My vision is fine long distance so seeing the target is not an issue, but focusing on the iron sights is a problem. When using a red dot I don't ever focus on the red dot, I keep my focus on the target, so I guess I just hadn't noticed the change.

I'll either need a red-dot for the BG 2.0 or iron sights that have three bright dots to line up. I hope the after market gets going soon on a solution because my search has not found anything.

I checked with Shield to see if their SMSc would work and got this response: "As far as I am aware, the Bodyguard 2.0 is not an optics ready pistol so there is no option to direct mount to the slide. The only other option would be to use an interface plate which would locate into the dovetail mount for the iron sights but at this time we do not offer one."

I also checked with Leupold about the DeltaPoint Micro, and got this response: "The DeltaPoint Micro was designed for the Smith & Wesson M&P non-CORE handguns with standard sights. The Smith & Wesson Body Guard 2.0 is a relatively new handgun model for which I do not have information at present. That might warrant a call to Smith & Wesson as to the Body Guard having the same top slide dimensions and sight cut as the M&P non-CORE handguns with standard sights."

The BG1.0 rear sight fits perfectly in the BG2.0 dovetail, and offers a good sight picture with the 2.0 front.
I had spare 1.0 sights, having replaced them on that gun. No idea if you could get them from Smith, or the other option from Ruger.
I have some TruGlos ordered, and if they work, I'll post.

I tried some TruGlos a helpful tech on MagWarehouse suggested. Unhappily, the front was 0.05" higher, which would have lowered the point of impact.
It was also loose in the dovetail.
For now, I'm happy with the 1.0 rear, and the OEM 2.0 front. It gives a good picture and zero.

My Bodyguard 2.0 will soon be here, and I'll naturally want to change out the front sight to a fiber optic of some sort. I'm just wondering if the sights on the 2.0 are the same as the 1.0 or perhaps the Shield. I want to think S&W didn't want to reinvent the wheel as far as these sights go, but I'm just not sure. Any thoughts on the matter?

TIA....
Do you know if they have came out with a new sight for the bodyguard 2.0 just picked one up and I love it but from what I'm looking up there is not much one can do with it as far as accessories go
