The new 642 I bought this month came with a good set of boot grips, but I had to see if something different was better.
So I tried a grip "combination" of a set of old school wood and a Tyler-T.
It does provide a "high-on-the-backstrap" hold that helps manage recoil and the current grip set-up seems to be very easy to conceal. The factory rubber stocks did provide a good grip on the revolver but I'm gonna' shoot it with these for awhile.
I know it's all about how a gun shoots... but I like the looks of wood grips!
