If the trigger is good - DON'T. Will probably never get it back to what it is - based on my screw-up many years ago. A 52 is a 52 for a specific purpose.
The screw did just lockout the DA pull on the original 52. But I think they used a different drawbar, sear and hammer on the -1 and -2. Then the screw just works as a pre-travel adjustment. They also remove or don't use a firing pin block or sear drop lever in the 52s', simply using the safety as a hammer block/pin lock.
