No, not a Dodge ... a Ruger.

Anyone have one of these? Ruger 22 Charger Rimfire Pistol Models

Is it super cool, or a solution looking for a problem?

They are alright. Basically it is a 10/22 with a shorter barrel and small stock.
It is kind of fun to shoot.

I have one which has been modified. Think of it as a very short 10/22.

Modifications make for smoother, more reliable operation.

An unmodified Charger, just doesn't make it in my opinion.

It works best when fired using both hands. It is very heavy and awkward when fired with one hand.

I shoot mine with a Red Dot site at an indoor range and it is fun to shoot. Go to RimfireCentral.com - Rimfire Community! and look up the Charger forum.
Some guys have put a lot of money into their Chargers.

I thought about one but decided against it and bought an M&P 15-22.

To shoot the Charger effectively, it must be bench rested.

Too one dimesional for me.

I have one, and I love it! I have a long eye relief scope on it, and can shoot it without a bench or prone. It's a lot of fun, but not really a "serious" gun like a regular 10/22. In other words, I'd never hunt with it, just target shoot.
I have a 25 shot mag (Paid $40 and got the good one) but still have problems with it a little. Seems it works best with the 10 shot Ruger mag.

I love taking it to the range and putting 25 shots fast into a 2-3" circle at 25 yards using pictures from a calander. At the parent's farm we just shoot the crap out of it prone from the ground at the gravel pit, using pop bottles (plastic) and cans.

My Charger has got a Hemi . . . don't particularly care for the Ruger Charger.

Nothing beats the stock Ruger rotary mags. The only good extended mag is the Tactical Innovation. Expensive but worth it. All the other "lips" brands just do not make it.

I'm going with soloution looking for a problem. The only thing I would want to do is put a rifle stock on one-but that would be a violation of Federal law as I would have just manufactured a rifle with a barrel shorter than 16.5 ". So we'e stuck with it as it is.
Maybe it would look better in an El Paso Three Persons holster with the leather thong slipped around the charging handle.
No...wait you could mount it on your porch railing on a swivel and sit out and drink beer and shoot it at random objects

Tactical Innovation is the mag I have.
I've been thinking of getting 2 more Ruger mags and hooking them together with the connector you get on eBay.
