We have a very strict limit on dogs. If you don't kill at least a 100, you can't come back!!

Three big name gun, pistol grip, and powder manufacturers are going to be there this week end.
They spend the winter creating new guns, and cartridges. One furnishes the break open pistols, another one puts fancy stocks on them and the other creates the cartridges they have dreamed up.

You want to see some exotic guns, they got'em.

One of them shot an antelope with his pistol a couple of years ago at 438 yards. When the all got their antelope, they got down to what they really came for. They spent the rest of the season shooting dogs.

Last spring they brought a suburban full of guns and a U-haul full of ammo. They killed 7000 in a week.

I hope they double that this week end.

I been outta them chutes a few times. I use to run around with Casey Tibbs, Jim Shoulders.

Drove Casey's purple Continnental out in the arena and took him for a victory lap around the race track when he won the championship one year.

The Poleece and Frontier Days Committee took a dammed dim view of that!!

Nuff sed!!

Casey was the master of ceremony's in Reno during the Reno Rodeo. He was sponsored by a Casino long out of business. (The shy Clown) now called Baldinies I think. Casey took the grand prize a real buet of a horse trailer from
the clown and parked it at the Nugget for a joke (Casey did have a strange sense of humor) As a joke the GM of Shy Clown got Judge Lambrette the Sparks Magistrate to issue a phony warrant for grand theft auto and Washoe County deputies who were in on it arrested him and took him to the hold over in Sparks. He was glad to see Larry Mahan, and the GM of the Clown, who was in on the joke. He had to admit we got him good. Great Guy especially if he liked you. Did a lot for orphans as I heard it. I was sorry to see him go....He was a character from the old give em hell days of Rodeo.

Thanks for the info, Iggy, I've got a good friend in Laramie, for years I keep saying I need to get back up there and shoot some prairie dogs, maybe I need to get a bit more serious about that, sounds like there's plenty of them. Might even need to stop in and have a beer at the Buckhorn.

Steave - Still a few dogs out by Medicine Bow in the Shirley Basin, but nothing like they were 25 years ago. You gotta look pretty hard for them now.

Iggy - any time you need some p-dogs thinned out, you let me know. I'll do my best, and I'll quit bad mouthing Cheyenne to boot, at least in public!
