purchased chiappa m1 22rf 200rds+ connecter between cocking handle and bolt sheared off returned to supplier Mwcavoys of Standish (uk gunsmith) who replaced it a further 200rds+ same problem different brands of ammunition used returned to supplier fully re embursed

Welcome to the forum. I've not had any problems with my Chiappa M1-22 Carbine. But I've only put 130 rounds through it.

I have read some negative and unflattering remarks about the newer Chiappa rimfire guns. I think an article was comparing their 22 sa revolver with the Heritage. Supposedly the Heritage gun is one of the top selling guns at $149 to $199. I do not own either but would get a heritage before a chiappa.

Being a fan of the original M1 Carbine, several years ago when I first heard of the Chiappa 22, it caught my eye. I did some internet research which did not turn out well. They are noted for cheap plastic parts that break easily and reported customer service sucks.
I finally saw one at a gun show. It felt cheap and the plastic rear sight looked like it would break if you looked at it hard. Even worse was that the aperture was too small to see through clearly and wasn't even round.
I gave up on them.

That's a shame. From the pic it looks like a cool little rifle.
I'm still sorry I let a Marlin M1 style carbine get by me.

I'm not a big fan of the Heritage SAs, but in comparison to the
Chiappa models they look like Colts. I've only had experience
with 3 Chiappa guns, all 22s and not mine. I would think long
before buying one. They seem to put all efforts into cosmetics.
I don't know who designed these guns but I think most are
Retro designed for use of cheap parts. The M1 carbine looks
like a Erma from 70s- then IJ trademark sold it awhile, they
didn't have the best rep back then. A lot of the reproductions
on the market today, especially in 22rf are little more than
novelty fun guns.

Get a Ruger and a M-1 stock..........

Did it with my oldest son's Youth model (16") 10/22; great, fun little rifle.... 10/15 and 25 round factory magazines.
