Chipped grip

I have a right side grip panel with a small {1/8"} chip out of the top against the frame. I do not have the missing piece. Any ideas on how to repair it?

JB Weld makes a dark brown wood putty I am going to use to try to fix a missing ear on a couple sets of K frames magnas I have. Good thing is I don’t think anyone will notice the repair at a cursory glance.

Dap makes a good product that includes wood fibers so it blends and you can stain it to match the color...
