I have a 3 inch MR 73 I bought earlier this year. I took it to the range December 19 and fired 60 rounds of Remington 130 grain FMJ at 7 and 10 yards. Trigger is superb, smooth about 7.8 pounds double action.

The confidence shot (or whatever guise) has been used by a number of Special Operations types over the years. Especially early on in the 70s.

"L'intervention" or "15 minutes of war" is a pretty good French made film about GIGN's first (IIRC) real test in Africa. Bus load of French children were taken hostage in a French colony. Subtitled but still very much worth watching. It's on Youtube.

I watched the movie last evening and thought it was well done. I especially enjoyed the part when several GIGN operatives drew and started shooting their Manurhins.
