Today I went down again to radio station WFMD in Frederick, MD for its annual week of special programming for Christmas Cash for Kids in conjunction with the local Salvation Army. The Salvation Army determined that over 1300 children from over 600 families were eligible for receiving the Christmas presents that this program makes available. I'm an old radio guy, so I got to go on the air and describe the contribution I was going to make, 25 Golden Dollars and 10 Eisenhower Dollars. And in a well established tradition, I got to make my annual "Dollar Drop" of the coins on to the table and make the sounds of the falling coins go out over the airwaves. The station enjoys the little performance that I do, and I enjoy seeing my friends at the radio station and being able to get on the air to contribute something to the community. It's always a lot of fun.
