Talk about being surprised! I had no idea that she had been shopping all year for the Colt. She bought the revolver and then located the grips from a separate source. It's a 3rd generation model in .44 special and brand new. It came in a ratty old box but that's expected. The grips are ivory from the Colt custom shop. They fit really well except for a tiny overhang at the bottom front of the grip. I feel kind of ashamed because even though I bought her a very nice gift that that she wanted, the Colt outshines any Christmas present I have ever received in my life.

I made the photos today just before it started to rain. It's supposed to pour all day. I was in such a hurry to make the photos that I didn't wipe it off good. The smudge on the barrel is old dried grease. It wiped off fine.

Don't know whether I want to shoot it or not; it's really beautiful and almost too nice to shoot. What do you all think? Should I shoot it or not?

Merry Christmas to all my friends here from me and the Mrs.

Charlie
