Seems we've lost several this year, at least most had long lives. Saw "Sound of Music" when I was 16.
I looked up his film and television credits. Wow! He must have never slept....
Classic...He claimed a long-awaited Academy Award at age 82 for his supporting performance in “Beginners” as an elderly man who comes out of the closet as gay after his wife’s death.

Well, we're pretty low-key up here, y'knowI must admit that I did not know he was Canadian until I read the obituaries today.

. . . Great actor. But frankly, the “Sound of Music” doesn’t do anything for me.
He was in many good films and very few duds.
